Why Thumbs Matter — The Founder’s Story
I’ve spent 51 years clacking on keyboards — writing code since the early days — and 61 years playing violin, viola, banjo, and guitar. In 1984, I began creating code generators and logistics automation systems. Over the decades I became a supply chain software specialist, building tools for the international divisions of Fortune 500 companies and even helping shape port authority, foreign government and EDI standards. (The proof is on my LinkedIn — the history is long and deep.)
In 2022, arthritis in my right thumb forced me to step down from my last paying music gig. But I never stopped creating. Now, I’m fighting back with a modified playing style — and by launching AI Thumb Wrestling as a collision of tech, parody, and purpose.
On launch night, I’ll also be the live musical entertainment — songs from 1911 to now. This event isn’t just spectacle — it’s purpose: raising money and awareness to help people keep making and doing what they love, even when pain says otherwise.
God I love Eric Clapton — a true guitar god. But when tickets to see him at Madison Square Garden are $295 for a side-view nosebleed seat, someone like me on Social Security would need to live 17,000 years to reach his net worth of $450 million. That’s why AI Thumb Wrestling PPV is just $4.99 — and 99% goes to charity.
See you in the arena.
